Moving to New Delhi and Kids Activities

IntlMOVE will coordinate everything for your families’ overseas shipment to India.

Moving to new country takes a lot of work and a lot of planning, so let IntlMOVE handle all the international moving details.

This will alleviate a lot of your worries and also free up some time.

Take this extra time to prepare your children for their move to New Delhi.

India has a much different culture than the United States, so prepare your children for what they are about to experience.

You will want to teach them the basics like only eating with their right hands, respecting a different culture and dressing more conservatively.

However, you will also want to let your children know that there will be plenty of fun activities for them to do overseas.

Appu Ghar

Appu Ghar, which is also known as “Mini Disneyland”, has a lot of rides that are great for all ages.

If your older children are into roller coasters, cable cars or other fast-paced rides, they will have the time of their life.

If you have younger children, you will find rides that are a little bit tamer and age appropriate.

Appu Ghar is a great activity when the weather is warm and sunny.

Balloon Club of India

The Balloon Club of India gives your kids the opportunity to soar above the clouds.

Your children will never forget riding in a hot air balloon and seeing India from a whole new perspective.

 Bowling and Roller Skating

When you need to get out of the house on an evening or during a rainy day, you can take your children to one of many places to go bowling or roller skating.

Either of these activities is inexpensive and a great family activity.

Your children can even bring their new friends that they are making in school.

 Camel Safari

A camel safari allows your children to see the desserts of India as well as small villages and trading posts that they don’t see on a day-to-day basis.

The safaris can last one to 15 days, so you can choose a day trip on a weekend with mild weather.

This is something for your older children to enjoy, so check with the safaris on age restrictions.

Your children will be able to learn about traditional food, Indian music and the atmosphere of old caravan journeys.

Culture

When you move to India with your children, you will want to teach them about the history and culture of the country.

You can take them to any of the local street markets to see different things for sale and to try different foods.

There are many concerts and performances where your kids can see the beautiful dance shows put on by performers.

During the cooler months, there are many festivals and dances put on throughout the city.

These cultural experiences will be unlike any other your children have encountered, so help your children get immersed in the beautiful culture of India.

 Fun n’ Food Village

Children love to visit Fun n’ Food Village because there is so much to do.

This venue promotes a variety of activities that promote Indian culture.

There are hands-on activities, like arts and crafts.

There is a theatre, amusement rides and an animal parade.

Also, there is a lot of traditional Indian food for your children to try.

All ages will have something to do at Fun n’ Food Village.

Movies

There are many movies that are shown in English, so if your children do not yet speak Hindi they will be able to enjoy all sorts of films.

Many Bollywood films are also made with English subtitles, so if your children are old enough to read, this is a great activity.

Museums

Visit one of the many different museums in New Delhi to let your children experience the culture of their new country.

They can learn about the history of India while having fun with the different hands-on activities.

 Parks and Gardens

If you just need a nice day outside, there are many parks and gardens throughout New Delhi that will allow you to thrive and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Take a picnic to the park, or enjoy any of the festivals that will take place.

Water Park

When your kids need a break from the heat, take them to the water park in New Delhi where they can run, splash and play with other children.

After IntlMOVE has helped you move your household good and personal effects to New Delhi, you will have plenty of things to do in New Delhi with your children.
