Moving to India and Taking the Train to Travel

When you are moving to India with IntlMOVE, you will want to take time to travel through India by train.
Traveling by air is much faster, but after moving to India you may want to explore the country on a budget.
There are many trains you can take, but you will need to learn the difference in classes.
There are eight class accommodations on trains, but not all classes are available on all trains.
When traveling long distances by train after moving to India, you should know that AC1, AC2 and AC3 are all sleeper class compartments.
If you are moving to India with IntlMOVE, you are probably used to decent travel accommodations.
When traveling, try to stay in AC1 or AC2 classes.
Even 2nd class seats can be a daunting experience, unless you are on a budget and ready for an adventure!

Air Conditioned First Class (AC1)
When you are riding first class in an air conditioned cabin, you will be happy to know that these compartments are lockable.
Pick pocketing can be a big problem on trains, so you might want some extra safety when you are traveling long distances.
This class will either come with either 2 beds or 4 beds, which is nice if you are traveling with companions.
The AC1 style of traveling is usually only available on long distance trains to large cities.
These are also the most expensive cabins.
If you are traveling alone, you will often be placed in a four person cabin with other passengers.

Air Conditioned 2-Tier (AC2)
This cabin is comfortable if you are traveling long distances. There are seats for you to sit during the day and bunks for you to sleep at night.
The AC2 accommodations are not separate compartments, so you will not get the privacy you may want to have.
However, each compartment is separated by a curtain.
However, the air conditioned cabins will provide you the comfort you need for exploring your new country after moving to India with IntlMOVE.

After moving to India, you may want to take time to travel throughout India for several weeks at a time.
You can purchase an IndRail Pass.
There are many different types of passes you can purchase.
These passes allow for almost unlimited travel over a certain time period.
However, it is often cheaper just to buy rail passes individually.
Unless you are using the train daily, there is really limited benefit to purchasing an IndRail pass.
These tickets can be purchased in AC1, AC2 or 2nd class.
However, if you want to stay flexible in your travel plans after moving to India, this is a great option.

When you are exploring India, there are several cities you will want to explore after moving overseas.
India is huge, so you will have a lot of new things to see and great experiences that await you.
Mumbai, Calcutta, Delhi and Chennai are the biggest cities in India that you will want to visit.
If you want to visit the royal cities of Inida, take a look at Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.
Agra, Rishikesh and Khajuraho are also very popular places to visit.
